Basic principle: Under the influence of damp and impurity environments, electrical products may experience insulation leakage between live parts of different polarities or between live parts and grounded metals. The generated electric arcs can cause breakdown and short circuits in the electrical appliances or result in electrical erosion of materials due to discharge, and even lead to ignition and fire.
The tracking test is a destructive test conducted on insulating materials by simulating the above situation. The test is conducted on the surface of solid insulating materials. Between platinum electrodes of specified inches (2mm×5mm), a certain voltage is applied and a specified volume of contaminated liquid (0.1%NH 4 CL) is dropped at a fixed height (35mm) at regular intervals (30s) to evaluate the surface resistance of solid insulating materials under the combined action of electric fields and contaminated media. Determine its comparative tracking index (CT1) and tracking resistance index (PT1).
Detailed description of technical parameters
1. Compliance with standards: Complies with the requirements of the GB/T4207 test standard.
2. Rectangular platinum electrodes were used, and the forces exerted by the two electrodes on the sample were 1.0N±0.05N respectively.
3. The applied voltage can be adjusted within the range of 100 to 600V(48 to 60Hz). When the short-circuit current is 1.0±0.1A, the voltage drop should not exceed 10%. When the short-circuit leakage current in the test circuit is equal to or greater than 0.5A, the relay will act for 2 seconds, cutting off the current and indicating that the test sample is unqualified.
4. The time constant of the droplet device is adjustable, precisely controlling the droplet volume of 44 to 50 drops per cubic centimeter and the droplet time interval of 30±5 seconds.
5. Electrodes: Two rectangular platinum electrodes with a cross-sectional area of 2mm×5mm. One end edge is a 30° inclined plane.
6. Surface force: 1.0±0.05N
7. Test voltage: 100-600V
8. Maximum test current: 3A
9. Distance between two electrodes: 4.0mm
