I. Scope of Application
The tracking test instrument is used to apply a certain voltage between platinum electrodes of specified dimensions (2mm×5mm) on the surface of solid insulating materials, and then drop a specified volume of contaminated liquid (0.1%NH 4 CL) at a fixed height (35mm) at regular intervals (30s). It is used to evaluate the surface resistance of solid insulating materials under the combined action of electric fields and contaminated media, and to determine their comparative tracking index (CTI) and tracking resistance index (PTI).
It is applicable to research, production and quality inspection departments of lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool electrical appliances, motors, electric tools, electronic instruments, electrical measuring instruments and information technology equipment. It is also applicable to the insulation materials, engineering plastics, electrical connectors and accessories industries.
Ii. Performance Indicators
Studio volume: 0.5m ³ (customizable)
2. Electrodes: Two rectangular platinum electrodes with a cross-sectional area of 2mm×5mm. One end of the edge has a 30-degree bevel.
3. Electrode distance: 4.0mm±0.1
The force applied by the electrode to the surface of the sample is 1.0N±0.5
5. Test voltage: 100V-600V can be set
6. Test power supply power: 2100W
When the short-circuit current is 1.0A, the drop value at 600V voltage is ≤50V
8. Tracking judgment: Maintain a current of 0.5A or higher for 2 seconds and then cut off the power output
9. Drip device
