Product Description

2. Scope of application: This instrument is suitable for testing the flame retardant performance of face masks. It has six burners to apply flames to the test samples, and the test time is digitally displayed.

 

2. Test Procedure:
1. Connect the power supply and gas source of the instrument, and check whether the "Pressure Adjustment", "Flow Adjustment", and "perpetual light Adjustment" on the instrument panel are in the off position.
2. Open the door of the test chamber, move the head mold to install the test sample on it, adjust the distance between each burner and the test sample to 250mm according to the national standard, and then manually move the sample away from the burner.
3. Turn on the power switch and the main valve of the gas source on the instrument, adjust the "perpetual light adjustment" knob on the panel, and light the perpetual light with an open flame. The flame length should be about 20mm. Press the "? "button on the display on the instrument panel Press the "▲" key after pressing the key, and the display will show "1005".
Adjust the "pressure Regulation" on the instrument to make the pressure gauge reading around 0.12Mpa.
4. Press the "Run" key to adjust the "Flow Regulation". At this time, the burner will ignite. Adjust the air feed nut at the lower end of the burner. The temperature at 250mm of the flame is measured to be (950±50) ℃ with a thermometer. Press the "Reset" key and the burner flame will go out.
5. Then adjust the display on the panel and press "?" After pressing the key, press the "▲" key to display "0005". Manually move the test sample to the test position and press the "Run" key. The burner will ignite and the display will start timing. After 5 seconds of flame application, the burner will automatically go out and the continuation time will start timing. Pay attention to observe whether the sample continues to ignite after flame application. If the continuation stops, press the "Timing" key on the instrument and the display will stop timing.
6. Record the afterburning time and the observed phenomena.
7. Replace the new sample and repeat operations 3.2 to 3.6. After the test is completed, turn off the power supply and gas source, and clean and maintain the combustion chamber and other components.
