Product Overview
BS 476-6 , mainly used to evaluate the fire resistance performance of walls and ceilings, and the test results are provided. As an indicator of flame spread.
During the test, the sample was exposed on the tubular torch, and the heat release of the lamp was 530 J/S. Five minutes after the test began, the power was reduced to 1500 watts. The power supply was not changed until the experiment was completed. The total test time was 20 minutes.
3. To evaluate the flame propagation characteristics of the material tested in BS476-6, thermocouples continuously recorded the chimney temperature and room temperature difference, and compared them with the calibration curve, which was measured in the same way according to the specified density of asbestos cement board.
The temperature difference values of the two curves measured simultaneously were compared. During the first three minutes of the test, take the temperature difference value every 30 seconds. In the following 4 to 10 minutes, take the temperature difference value every minute. In the final 11 to 20 minutes, the temperature difference value was taken every two minutes, and the flame diffusion index of these three stages was calculated according to the formula.
5. I is the sum of the flame spread indices of the three phases. The higher the value of I, the lower the flame retardancy of the material. For grade 0 materials, I≤12.
