Instrument Introduction
The UL 1685 wire and cable combustion test apparatus is an instrument used to evaluate the ability of single or bundled cables to suppress flame spread under specified conditions, meeting the test requirements of UL 1685, IEEE 383 and IEEE 1202.
The sample was burned in a specified volume space for 20 minutes. During these 20 minutes, the cable sample was ignited with a vertically placed flame of a theoretical value of 20kW (70,000 Btu/hr) to evaluate the flame suppression performance of the cable.

The mass flow controller ensures a stable airflow even under changes in the air supply source and air pressure.
The data acquisition board is adopted to precisely collect and measure the temperature of internal components and the flame temperature of the burner.
Gas and air can be controlled to open and close through solenoid valves.
