Product Description

. Scope of Application: It is applicable to the assessment of the maximum service temperature of thermal insulation products such as loosely filled thermal insulation materials, felts, blankets, blocks, boards and prefabricated thermal insulation pipe shells.

2. Compliance with standards: In compliance with the relevant standards of GB/T17430-2015 "Evaluation Method for the Maximum Service Temperature of Thermal Insulation Materials", non-equivalent: ASTM C411-82 "Test Method for Thermal Surface Properties of Thermal Insulation Materials at the Highest Temperature", ASTM C447-85 "Non-equivalent of Relevant Standards for Thermal Insulation Materials" ASTM C411-82 "Test Method for Thermal Surface Properties of Thermal Insulation Materials at the Highest Temperature", ASTM C447-85 "Evaluation Method for the Maximum Service Temperature of Thermal Insulation Materials", and ISO 8142:1990 Appendix A "Test Method for Determining the Maximum Service Temperature of Prefabricated Mineral Wool Pipe Shells".

Iii. Main Technical Parameters
Heating plate: Made of SUS304 stainless steel, test area 900*450mm, surrounded by a protective layer, width 80mm. On the lower surface of the heating plate, no less than five thermocouples are used to measure the surface temperature. Four of them are fixed on the diagonal of the heating area of the heating plate, and the distance from each corner is 150mm. The fifth thermocouple is placed at the center of the heating plate. The temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be +5% or +15℃ (whichever is smaller).
2. Heating tubes: Made of SUS304 stainless steel, with a length of 2 meters and nominal diameters of 88mm, 108mm, and 133mm respectively. Three heating tubes are arranged side by side, allowing for individual testing of prefabricated insulated tube shells. The end of the heating tube should be equipped with a protective section no less than 75mm in length and an auxiliary heater to prevent excessive heat loss at the end of the test piece. A thermocouple is installed every 0.3 meters of the heating tube to measure the surface temperature of the heating tube. Thermocouples are arranged in a spiral pattern around the heating tube at 90° intervals. The temperature measured at any point shall not be lower than the required temperature, and the difference shall be +5% or +15℃ (whichever is smaller).
